A11: Research the impact of the social media on student’s health and well-being.

A11. Research the impact of the social media on student’s health and well-being.

In 1971, the first email was delivered. More than 40 years on, social media has taken the world by storm. Social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are now used by 1 in 4 people worldwide. Such activity may seem harmless, but some researchers suggest social media may affect our mental health and well-being eg; some people that stare at screens for a while, can lead to difficulty focusing, headaches, eye discomfort, blurred vision, dry eyes, and itchy eyes, and no one wants that.

The thing that I think could help the world is if people take longer breaks from their social world and have more fun in their real life. Only two hours a day could help a lot of people around the world realise that their whole life isn’t evolved around the internet. Some students in school focus more on Youtube, or Twitter (or whatever they use) more than their education which I think is definitely not good!
